Neighborhood News 10/27/15

Greetings Neighborhood Families,

The week of Halloween is upon us and there is much excitement in the air! The teachers have invited the children to wear their costumes to school this week. (Pacheco's 3's on Tuesday, Jackie's classes on Thursday, and the rest of the classes on Friday). Please keep in mind that some children may not want to wear their costumes to school and that is perfectly fine! They may chose to wear dress up that we have here at school, or every day clothes. Please also note that all accessories and masks should be left at home. These items can get lost or damaged at school.

Officer Pacheco will be visiting with all of our classes this week to speak about Halloween safety. In the past he has spoken to the children about staying close to a grown up, walking not running, carrying a light, being aware of cars and not crossing the street without an adult. The children always enjoy his presentation and are welcome to ask him questions at the end.

We are thrilled to announce that we have received approval from The First Congregational Church to install a locked door in the lobby at the entrance of our school. This has been on our wish list for quite some time now and we are so pleased that we will be able to move forward with this project. Millcreek Residential has generously offered to cover 100% of the installation cost for this project. Therefor we will be targeting our annual fundraising efforts towards raising the remainder amount of money needed for materials and costs required to integrate into the FCC's existing electrical systems. We have a lot to look forward to here!
