Kids Test Kitchen visited all six classes at the Neighborhood Cooperative this past week. The children worked together to create nutrient dense smoothies and were sent home with one of the main ingredients, rainbow swiss chard.
Hello Neighborhood Families,
It was wonderful to see so many of our community members come together to help out on our playground this week. Over the course of the two days, we spread close to 30 bags of sand and 30 bags of mulch. The children helped to plant the flower pots and the vegetable garden and even planted the beans they started during science week. Thank you for all of your donations, hard work, and support! It takes a Neighborhood!
Our first school wide science week was such a huge success that our teachers decided to extend the theme into this week.Throughout the classrooms, children worked with magnets, bubbles, balls and ramps, they learned about water cycles, clouds, rainbows and wind, they took apart machines, built robots, and much much more! The classrooms were alive with curiosity and wonder and I think it is safe to say that the teachers and parents had just as much fun as the children!
